Some pages on Gamer Guides show where you can buy a game, with prices from several stores. If you buy through one of those links we may earn a commission. Here is exactly how those offers are chosen, so you can judge them for yourself.
Our reviews are written by editorial staff who have no involvement in commercial arrangements, and no retailer sees a review before it is published. A game’s score is not influenced by whether we earn anything when you buy it, and no retailer can pay to change a verdict or to appear in the table.
Offers are not ranked by how much we earn. They are ordered by:
Commission is not one of those steps, and neither is any commercial arrangement: no store can pay to place higher. The one thing that overrides price is a marketplace, which sits below every official store and authorized retailer however cheap it is, because a very cheap listing there is exactly the one we would not stand behind.
We list official publisher stores and authorized retailers. Some of those retailers sell download keys rather than boxes, and that is fine when they are supplied by the publisher: the key comes through the same chain the publisher's own store uses.
What we do not list is a grey-market marketplace, where the seller is another member of the public and nobody can say where a key came from. We leave those out even when their prices are lower, because we cannot vouch for the source or for what happens if a key stops working.
These are the stores we hold an affiliate arrangement with, and where each one sells. We publish the list so you can see exactly whose programmes we belong to: a store is listed once we have applied to its scheme, and marked approved once it has accepted us. Being in a scheme does not put a store in the table, and it does not move one up it.

Prices come from the retailers themselves and are checked regularly, but they change often. If a price is older than we are comfortable quoting we hide it and show “Check price” instead of showing you a number we no longer trust. The price on the retailer’s own page is always the one that counts.
Prices are shown in the currency of the store for your region, and we do not convert between currencies.
If an offer looks wrong, or a link sends you somewhere unexpected, please let us know and we will fix it.
